Welcome back to the quarter mile podcast.
We are in between season 2 and season 3. This is part 2 of a 3-part filler episode.
We're just doing random stuff. Last week we talked about Mark Wahlberg,
an online episode and next week CJ will tell you more about that at the end of the episode.
Which by the way, I'm here as always with my hostess with the mostus, CJ Wall and what's up CJ?
I'm so excited!
Welcome here! We're back together.
We're back together. It's been too long.
It's been too long.
We do. We look good. We're representing a D&D fitness apparel.
They're spring collection. I guess it's in a collection of its fitness.
I think you have an online collection. I think I got an spring collection because this is purple,
it's lavender. It's giving calmness, it's giving love, it's giving itself to soft.
It is so soft.
We love D&D. If you don't know, D&D is. It's D&D fitness apparel.
They're a Memphis-based startup brand. They help you reclaim your space with gymwear that does all the talking for you.
Check them out online or especially for one-fledd people.
May 30th, they are going to get the music city fit expo.
Speaking of cool things, I got my guns out with my suit on the shirt.
Look at you! It looks like I could work out or we're going to get a lot of use to people.
Like I spot big foot. There's that hairy thing on that podcast again.
I don't think I want to look at like Vin Diesel. Tonight we have an amazing guest for you.
He's brought the Vin Diesel shakes. He's a giant.
He's a judo. We're not hard to hurt. We're not hard to hurt.
How are we doing today?
We're doing really good. I just here to protect my family.
Yes, there we go.
Before we went to blow on some stuff up.
Yeah, I think about you starting out.
What's up everybody? How are you all doing, man? I'm glad to be here. Thank you for inviting me.
I guess we just realized that we were fans of the franchise.
Yeah, we both are die hard fans of Fast and Furious.
And then at One-Fly and one of the show comedy shows or open mics or whatever.
We finally sat down and had a conversation and realized what, how collectively we were geeked about it.
So I was like, well, you have to go on our podcast.
So listen, before we get into it, let's run our talks a little bit about yourself.
But then also the question everyone at least wants to know.
The reason people turn into this podcast is they want to know what's your relationship with the Fast and Furious.
Okay, all right. So in my name is Fredard Hurs. I'm a stripper here in the Nashville area.
Yes, anybody looking to book me? He goes by a light bright one.
What? All in the light is And the Brightest.
No, you know, so I'm a comic here based out of Nashville, wonderful Nashville Tennessee.
So right here in the valley of the south in the land of Golden Sunshine.
It sounds so cool.
I'll be getting my Instagram Nashville in the end of Golden Sunshine.
Yeah, that is part of our Alma Mater.
Let me see you guys with the T2 too.
We all have to learn our Alma Mater.
And that's another thing. We have more family connections.
We have a lot of kids in Bernard both who went to college together.
This connection is deeper than diesel, ludicrous.
I think this is my new version.
Yeah, I've been to one of your family reunions.
Oh yeah, I think I'll show you.
Yeah, I'll take it in the next video.
Oh yeah, we have good time.
Perfect.
The purpose of this episode is we're doing another fast fan feedback where we got a wonderful person.
And we're just talking about fast and furious because he never get talk enough about fast and furious on the Guatemala podcast.
And I'm so glad to have Bernard here.
He mentioned music and comedian.
I feel he was downplaying it.
We've got a lot of comedians on our show.
And I like all of them.
But as far as enjoying content and renards one of my favorites in the Nashville comics in my opinion, which is correct.
But I'm a group, yeah.
Yeah, that's what I want to proud of.
I want to cry out to have some fun and just relax and have a good day.
Yeah, I'm happy.
I love that.
And it's so evident in your routine.
It's a new performing.
It's just we're just here to have a good time.
Yeah, that's what I think about.
Absolutely.
Because life can be short.
So it's like you want to just enjoy it and pass on the dormant home to the mother.
We're just here having a good time.
All right, we're done.
All right, thanks.
All right, we'll watch it.
Hey, we're here having a big time.
A quarter mile at a time.
Yeah, I'm really happy.
Tell us about your relationship with Fast and Furious.
My relationship with Fast and Furious.
Yeah, that's what I saw.
Yeah, of course, you know, day and day started rolling them out.
You know, earlier, I guess we didn't know it was going to be a franchise at the time.
Right.
I was a little bit up to the top.
But I was a little bit up to the top.
But I was a little bit up to the top.
I was a little bit up to the top.
I think he had one before Facts and Furious.
And that kind of was sort of putting them, you know,
that kind of was my little break out.
Right, let me look that.
And then, because what happened was one of the reasons he turned down two Facts and Furious,
was he was doing another one of the Riddling movies.
And then one of the reasons he decided to do a cameo until he would drift,
was because it got him the right to be a director, not just in Facts and Furious,
but in the Riddling series, doing that was what he actually cared about.
But interestingly enough, that was what I didn't do as well.
Yeah, just in a bigger break.
Yeah, he was a saving private rocket.
Yeah, I think that was his big first time.
Was that a buzzing?
That was it.
And he was in the Passfire.
It was one more movie in the air.
Passfire came out after a lot of the Passavere.
Okay, okay, okay.
But that was a funny role.
Yeah, yeah, okay.
I don't know, I think it just spoke to me when I saw the previews or whatever,
I was like, oh, that was good.
And so now, to the point where I just, whenever they drop one,
I go to the movies to see it.
And, yeah, I got to see it on the bass green.
Of course, yeah.
Yeah, and I guess one of my favorite things is, you know, people,
get come down on them about the stuff to be ridiculous and all that stuff.
But to me, I mean, that's great.
I like the fact that they just raised the bar every movie
and do something more ridiculous than you thought we'd have.
If you could put any celebrity into the Passavere's Universe,
who would it be?
And if you could come up with a role for them, what would it be?
I mean, for me, it'd be a long, but that's just because I love you a long,
I love the thing you heard it any day.
Yeah, obviously.
I don't know what I'm saying.
Oh, let's see who'd be good.
Who'd be good?
I mean, Morse Shesner, I'd see him maybe coming into or Michael Ealy.
I don't know, I'd see Michael Ealy.
I'd see we already had John Cena.
Yeah.
He was a good one.
Charlie Starrin.
Yeah.
He was a good surprise.
That's like, oh, great.
I don't know what would my man say.
Who's that?
L.L. Koochup.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
He's got to see his side back, but he could do it.
I think he could do it.
I think he's great.
I'm a copacular.
What?
I don't believe him.
Shout out to my quantum leapers and the CIA and New Orleans.
Scott Backula, but he's okay.
We said Keanu Reeves earlier.
I could see him.
He's definitely.
Yeah.
He could be my one-on-one.
Yeah, look, I really want to see because I feel like he'd have a cold roll in it.
We need to say him a little Jackson.
Yeah.
We need to say him a little Jackson.
Yeah.
We need to say him.
Like, he could, I don't know.
Like, someone to out-top.
Out-top vindies also just be okay.
It would be Samuel L.
Yeah.
Might be Jordan.
Oh, all right.
You all right.
I think he'd be good.
Well, not Keanu Walker.
Isn't that Michael B. Jordan?
Yeah, that might be Jordan.
Others, who is others?
Uh, Chap Good reaction, I don't even remember his friends.
No, Chap Good reaction, for mbapples.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah come on, come on.
What's them do?
Ah yeah, yeah.
I have no sorry.
I am so sorry.
You were an amazing actor and I just could not think of your sexy name at the time.
I'm so sorry.
'Cause yeah, 'cause he had the bill for him and I was like "You can come in just take over."
You know who, and I'm oh god, he just let my hair.
Oh, what a dad just happened.
He was like "Well feed me peanuts and call me Dumbledore."
What?
Hold on, it's gonna come back.
That might be talking.
That might be one of my new favorite quotes on this.
And I will say the one to be those when we had to read a bad movie review for Redline
and the review was simply full frontal nudity couldn't save this.
Oh, but now I think, and right under that feed me peanuts.
These are t-shirt values.
I think.
I was trying to think of what's his name.
Man, I could see Hugh Jackman.
Yeah, I could see Hugh.
Yeah, boy, that's my boy.
I'm trying to think of him in a Vin Diesel could have a musical number together.
Or like Ors, so this is still home, could come in.
Is somebody saying?
Well, I think they need to eventually introduce Vin Diesel's like our dominant trellis mother.
Is there any like older women's library?
I don't know.
That would be cool.
Is there any like that?
I mean, because I don't know like that.
Why you can't have Julie Robbins's Vin Diesel's mom?
I think Vin Diesel's like.
Vin Diesel's everything.
I mean, Vin Diesel has a documentary about how he can play any part of it.
I mean, he can be anything.
But I could have sworn away.
Yeah, but this is a movie.
You can make it up.
He can be his mom.
He could be white.
Yeah.
Well, that's the case.
The Julia Robbins is going to be my mom.
What up, Julia?
Brian Cranston.
Oh, he brought me a fantastic building.
Oh, yeah.
Because he has so much weight to any role he does.
This is like, you know, it would be fantastic.
A lot of fans will feel that or anything.
Like, you can see him doing really good.
This is the easy version of the question.
But if you want, you can do the harder version.
What's your favorite movie and why?
Which I love faster movies.
If you want to take it a step further for an extra panel of movies.
Oh, most deaf.
Oh, we are.
We talked about it.
We're a viral real bad.
We did.
But I would love to see him in a faster period.
I would love to see him as a character from the Italian job.
Yes.
I would like to see him as a character from the Italian job.
Yes.
I was like, it is somebody who could do like the Italian job was something.
Right.
I don't know if the Italian job is good.
He has a good range.
Yeah, it would be great.
It was good range.
Okay.
Now, I'm sorry.
Okay, it was good.
Cool.
And, see, you're more a lot of an answer to this question, because like I said, we haven't talked to you a lot about actual, fast and furious.
But, so I'm wondering, favorite movies, which one stands out to you the best fast and furious and why?
And if you feel comfortable ranking, I'm maybe giving a stop for you.
I'm more of a welcome to do that as well.
All right.
I think, ooh, my favorite one.
I think my favorite one was the one where they were trying to retrieve God's eye.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, that was seven.
That was seven.
Okay, okay.
The first one.
Jason stayed the minute.
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, that was one.
And the one where I keep, like, Vindies would try to punch Jason's statement when he missed the car and kept fighting.
Yeah.
And didn't break anything.
He's Vindies.
He definitely didn't get anything.
The last time Vindies was sustained any kind of injury and fast and furious was fast-forward.
Was that the one where he fell off that they blew that porky rod up and he landed and then he had a talk to him and back.
That was that was that was seven.
That was seven.
Oh, that's okay.
That was the ending of the video.
What did you come up with?
In four, he gets shot and then he takes out about a thousand other people.
And then later in the movie, they're like, oh, we should take care of an injury.
And after that, you never see Vindies will get injured ever again.
Yeah, okay.
I love that.
Yeah, yeah.
So that's in your talking about the way he concludes his fight with Jason Statham is he stomps on the ground and concrete.
Yeah, that's so hard.
These are real words that are leaving my mouth out.
All they have, you with A, those are some serious deal to boost in here.
Yeah, you get those boosts you can do the same thing.
Yeah, and then he says, sometimes this treat wins.
No, not this time.
That's the best.
Oh, yeah, that's perfectly on bread at this.
Yeah, because earlier in the movie, he's like,
you brought a gun to a street fight.
And then he's like, problem with street fights is sometimes a street win.
And that's the kind of dialogue I'd go to.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, 100%.
What's the most important one where?
Oh, Jesus.
Do they watch them?
I don't think I watch them.
My God, runs.
That's not everyone.
You gotta take it out.
The one you want to do is run in a lot of places.
Yeah, the one with Paul, Paul runs up the train.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, that's also seven.
That's the one with seven.
Okay, these are okay, so seven.
That's one.
It's my fault.
But what's yours?
Because it should go one, seven, what, one, seven, three.
Are you talking about ranking?
Yeah, that's not mine, personal ranking.
But one in three are a lot of people like those ones the best do.
Yeah.
I like the one with it when they sent Lucra's and Annara space.
Yeah.
That one is just fun.
That's the one where a lot of people say,
"That's gonna go too far for me."
But like that's the end of this.
Everything about it is just fancy.
Yeah, I mean, it's when you thought some stuff couldn't happen.
It happens.
We fought and stole cars everywhere.
Yeah, they've been on ice.
They've been in the desert.
They have.
Yeah, they've been in the air.
No, they've been in water.
No, well, no, no, they haven't done water.
They need like a hundred water.
Where they...
Street race.
Where you steal cars from Rockleman?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's because the Rockleman was the bad guy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a good guy.
They combined those guys.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They both have the same good one.
Clothes as they came.
But they have room to improve.
And two fast-due fears, the big stunt of that one is funny,
because we're done in nine,
their big stunt was going to space.
Back when they were more grounded,
and two fast-due fears,
their big stunt was driving a car off a ramp onto a yacht.
Oh, okay.
Oh man, they were tiresome.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay.
And right before that, another great fast-difficious line,
Tyrese was like a juxtaposed seato.
And that one, oh yeah.
That's the French app.
He has it.
He's so big.
Yeah, 'cause he's...
Once he got there, he's standing right.
Yeah, he's stuck around.
And you know what?
But you have some guys, some like,
Han, they Han, like, you know,
Han left, well, he got out and died.
He was a little bit...
Three times in the season.
He's been in a lot of series, too.
Yeah.
He was in one through six,
where I was not in seven and came back in nine and ten.
Yeah, he sees Rolfo Coppid as one of those teams.
What's really funny is, I don't know if you guys ever
were listening like interviews with that actor or something,
but like, this role has been so defining for him as a person.
Like, he feels like he embodies Han for the audience.
So I'm like, I just connected this character so much
that like, when people see me, I'm gonna be on it,
because that's what they need is what it...
But he said that interview.
It's a big deal for him.
Oh, I mean, it's incredible though.
Like, when you get a character, like, that end is like,
you know, some cool character, too.
So, it's like, you know, like, yeah.
It's not like, you know, like, I heard like,
George's Sansa didn't like to be,
I'll call George's Sansa though.
What's the thing?
Oh, but it's huge, but like,
Jason and Amanda are on the news.
What did it say?
Jason and Alexander.
Oh, yeah.
But he said, like, I don't know if he's still like this,
but he's not, I'm sure he probably is.
I mean, it's like, for the long-
People call it, and George's Sansa, but that one,
who he was, and I'm not saying anything.
Yeah, it's not the same thing.
He says, you're on the air for a bit.
Teragi Henson does not like to be called cookie.
No, well, that's fair.
She said that she, like, at the issue,
when she came into the issue.
Yeah, I remember, yeah, what did you get to go on with?
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
I mean, I get where people are coming from with that.
Yeah.
I can't even imagine, but I can also like,
try to imagine, but part of me thinks, like,
if you did a role that was so impactful for people,
that when they see you, that's the first thing they do,
is they call you your character's name.
I think that's like, kind of cool.
Yeah.
But I also think it could be, uh, not a good thing,
because one of my friends, he does, um,
he does some acting as well, and he,
I guess he, in Sansa, but, uh, in one of the movies,
he was in, he was, like, this, like, serial killer, I don't know.
And he said that, like, after, after, like,
aired, like, literally, he had memories of people
driving up and seeing him, and just speeding off-roading,
because they were thinking about this game.
I guess, like, if you're at a, if you're not a good character,
maybe there's some good people.
But I'm not the character's like, yeah, I think this is,
there's just, there's just a, uh, a testament to how good you were in the role.
Why is that?
I think we just connected, it's like, you know, like, cookie line,
you did a great job.
I'm not a good show, you know, so, um, I mean, I mean, I guess it's tough, you know,
I, I know, 'cause some actors try to, you know,
you want to have another identity away from the characters,
like, you think about, like, a Steve Irgel, you know, so.
And yes, if you wish to weigh that one so much, yeah, right?
Yeah, but it's like, I've been holding him,
and to the point that no one knows him, no one knows Jalille White,
but as Steve Irgel, I know, probably one actor who maybe didn't have to deal with that,
and that Kirby did sail, 'cause he embodies every role but he tagged it himself.
He was Malcolm X, but nobody ever wanted him and said that,
and he was also, uh, what's his name?
The gangster, then he was.
I'm Frank Lucas.
Yeah, that was the first actor in the film.
And he also played, um, the other dude, and, um, remember the title,
remember the title, then, um, training day.
Oh, he did it.
And, um, um, I mean, every movie, did you know what?
I don't think, I don't think, "Din Zales" a guy,
who's gonna catch out like this.
You're not gonna see "Din Zales" the other day, girl.
And you know who you ain't gonna say, "Hey, Mr. J, too, is that you?"
Yeah, absolutely.
Awesome.
I mean, yeah, that's fair.
You know what, but Sam seems like somebody who'd be more accessible.
Like, because he just, he's just, that he's one of those people.
Yeah, I--
He's like, he probably, like, wants to be amongst the people.
He's been, he's been, he's been like, "better movies than this,
but like, I'd always wanted to see more of him in the Star Wars franchise."
Oh, what a cool character.
Oh, yeah.
And like, we're gonna be the most window movies.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, yeah, we got to think of other old branch-alls.
Yeah.
That's the least you could do.
If you could end the franchise anyway you want it.
Like, if you had to end the--
Yeah, I mean, it's gonna be a dark day,
but they have to end the movies eventually.
How would we close out the series?
Yeah, 'cause the 11 is coming out.
Yeah.
Or they call it part two.
Yeah, part two.
Part two.
Yeah, that's the X-Fort-Oh, Jesus Christ.
I just thought of something called a letter, but I don't know how that was going to be.
How would you do it?
I mean, I mean, it feels like me, it would never have.
What did they do to the thigh?
Man, I mean, yeah, I mean, I would love for, yeah, maybe that yeah, you come.
I don't know, maybe there's something world disaster.
Yeah.
But some kind of way Dominic Torreto is able to save his family.
Yeah.
And a bumper and Paul Woffer's there.
Like, he never died.
He never died.
And the face, they--
If anybody was ever baptized, there was no party, his family.
Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, Paul Woffer's been there for 10 years, he just looks great.
No, I--
So there's a moral part.
I don't know if that's the problem.
Here's the perfect ending to the Fast and Furious,
because they've always won up their stunts and someone's there.
I mean, how do you talk space?
I'm sure a little figure out, but at some point they're like, well, how do you talk time travel?
How do you talk?
You know, like, they recreate-- I don't know.
At some point, the big stunt is going to be-- they faked his death in real life.
Yeah.
And he comes back.
He really not going to walk in.
Yeah.
Paul Walker, that movie.
Oh, yeah.
That would-- that would put Fast and Furious down on the movie.
Oh, but--
Yeah.
Have they gone to give it a nature?
No, they haven't.
It was like-- it was like a bunch of tornadoes and--
No, but--
I'm like, I'll save that like on again.
Yeah, I think it's like--
I think it's really-- someone would be like--
I think they have to tomorrow have to--
Pick some freezes and the rest of the place can just own fire.
Yeah, no, they haven't done anything.
They're going to deal with it.
Yeah, that would be--
Bring in Captain Planet to jump out.
[LAUGHTER]
Yeah, oh, yeah.
Oh, man.
He'd bring him into the franchise.
Yeah.
That would be a good face.
Let's go on.
That's the last one.
I think-- I think-- I think-- I think-- I think--
Yeah, the back-rights.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, and-- I mean, I was a crossover with any series.
It would be great.
I was-- after I saw like the second Jurassic World,
where like it ends with all the dinosaurs getting out
on New York City or whatever, I was like,
it's time for Dom to get the family together and go round up
these dinosaurs.
Oh, man.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, they could do it.
Time travel would be cool.
Oh, yeah.
Happy nights.
Oh, was it--
The only death that lasted is a series.
Oh, we could get like-- we could get a couple prequels, you know?
Yeah.
We get the back story, the Tirees, or the back story.
Do we need the back story?
[LAUGHTER]
I--
So, yeah, then--
We even get the Young Dom series.
Yeah, but a rock, you know?
And then-- and then that guy played it, Young Dom in--
Oh, yeah, no, but--
I think-- with a car, with a die or whatever.
I feel like he did a really job.
Like, I thought about this before.
We do need a Young Tigeries and Young Roman series.
And it goes back and it's-- it's falling, you know, the friendship
between Brian O'Connor and Roman, and then because I've set up for the
second Fast and Furious, but there's a line in maybe
Fast 5 or 6 or 7, where-- and this is the only reason I want to
watch a prequel about this character is, you know, Roman says
something, and then Paul Walker's character is like, yeah,
it's kind of like an high school with Noonies, Denise.
I don't think you can say no to anyone.
[LAUGHTER]
And we never hear about Noonies, Denise again in the emergency
race.
But why did she have--
OK.
And--
What-- they-- they Paul gave him locked up?
Like, when they first met?
They--
So remember, they got the flight back, because people were racing cars.
They--
And they--
So, the flight school is always--
So, it was one of those--
is there a variant that you was about in the--
So, they never explained, but that couldn't be the point.
Oh, yeah, they keep bothering you.
But at the end, you're kind of led to believe that Paul Walker's
character didn't really--
wasn't the exact cause, but because Roman's like, oh, I have to start
taking responsibility for my own action,
it's going to get scarier to recover, but it also sounds like
Brian was like a little like, was more-- more useful.
I thought he could have done more.
And then the whole--
And then it also adds-- see, that's the first two fasten
fears movies together.
That's when you see great character development from Paul Walker's
character, because this thing happens with Vin Diesel,
Dominic Terrell, where he lets him go, and then could just cop
job and like, rethink all his ethics and all that.
And then you realize in the second movie, the reason he was so
much like that, the Vin Diesel was because of whatever happened
with Terry Skipson, like that play to the YD, you know,
had a second change of heart.
I'm telling you, these movies, they make you think they're not
putting good plots together, but the writers know how to write.
Yeah, they should write on their style.
They do.
Small fun fact, one of my good friends is coffee
Jones, and he's a member of the Gritz Rat Group, and they had their song,
"Oh, I was in Tokyo Group."
Shout out to the Gritz.
Yeah, I was still listening to the Gritz all the time.
They were like the youth group.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Every time I hear that, I don't know, you know, you don't
know, like, yeah.
Okay, then the Nashville connection, right, Daniel, to the--
I see, does he have opinions?
Does he like, like, faster periods?
Does he have good things about, to say about, like, that time,
from his left to the--
You know, I think he was just happy that he got moved in,
that he was just talking to movie, and, yeah, yeah, so, I was like,
"Yeah, I need to go deeper in on this."
Yeah, because I've been--
What a relationship he is with the movies, actually.
I'm going to line to get, like, celebrities from the actual franchise.
Coffee is cool.
That's what you have to have your ultimate coffee.
Yeah, no, okay.
Yeah, you could probably get him on the private.
Yeah, let's get on the private.
Yeah, we'll reach out.
Yeah, that'd be cool.
Yeah, man, my people will reach out.
This is cool.
Yeah, man, thank you for all your people.
Is there anything in this series that you were like,
"That's too far, that's stupid?"
I'm not cool with that.
No.
The best of your--
Yeah, not really.
No.
Yeah, I was always on the board, because I was like,
I was like, "I'm here for a journey."
Yeah, whatever, just get creative.
Just keep my attention.
Blow up a bunch of stuff.
Yeah, like, okay.
Yeah, like, okay.
Oh, that was like, when the lady came flying through the air,
it didn't even jump out.
It was like, "Car, car, car, car."
Which became a universal thing in fast and fast periods.
Literally, it was okay.
So like, people will listen to this, know this about me.
Anytime a new movie comes out, I marathon all the time.
Okay.
To get myself into the universe.
Okay.
Be ready for whatever the next one will do.
And so, usually in the first four or whatever,
you're like, "Oh, that's a pretty un-believable car.
Can't do that."
But then, literally, this last wash through, at one end,
like eight or nine, when they caught someone with the car,
the word just left my mouth.
Thank God there was a car there.
That was great.
I mean, yeah, even like, when he was in Dubai,
and he decided to bust through the glass,
and then land in another building.
Oh, yeah.
I see it like that.
Yeah, I remember it.
Yeah, I'm like, "That was cool, that was cool."
I'll put that in the game, and ball ride around the game for that one.
Yeah, that was cool.
Yeah, that was cool.
Yeah, she was in the game for that one.
I didn't realize that.
I was like, "I'm too big, I'm like, "That show look like this!"
That's what another father did.
His baby just burned...
I don't know who...
I don't know, he's like, "Vindies or someone has such a cool phone call."
Yeah.
Or they're like, "Yeah, 'cause I always guess somebody good,
some good, was it Jarrrue?
Yeah, he was in the very first one.
He was in the very first one.
Oh, yeah.
So, fun fact, he was supposed to put bait,
and express interest to him that they wanted him to be the king.
So, instead of Tariy's scripts, Jarrrue was the first pick for the second battle.
That makes sense.
Well, after Vin Diesel, because he was in the first one,
he had that iconic Monica line, and he was a street racer,
and Jarrrue was like, "Now, this is dumb, I don't want to do it."
But Tariy's was like, "This is gonna skyrocket in my career."
And he bought really expensive rims for his real cars,
because he spent so much money in having that role,
because he was like, "This is gonna make it for me."
That's what it kinda did.
Like, I guess he's not wrong.
It did put--
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, hey, you can get into a brain jazz.
Well, before we move on, one more question I want to ask you guys.
That's not fast and furious, Raleigh.
But in case you're listening to this episode,
and you're thinking yourself, "Man, I really want more fast and furious content
that's all I live for in life is to listen to fast and furious."
I have two options for you.
One, go back to our earlier season one,
where we literally covered every single movie.
We also have a few of the adjacent movies that we've covered in season two,
and we'd love for you to check out any of those.
Literally, at this point, anything you can think of fast and furious related,
we have done an episode on it.
Whether it's the 10 movies, whether it's hops and jaw,
whether it's the turbo charge, what are you cool?
Whether it's low-spender leros, and we're just stuff than that.
And we're not--
We've covered it, so it's there.
What if--
Honestly, that one has been killing it, R.
Really?
Yeah, it has just become like our third or fourth most watched episode.
Nice!
That's like topping like ones that have been around for like way longer.
Anyway, but if you're like, "I want to hear fast and furious,"
I don't want these American accents.
I would prefer, I don't know, more of like a British accent.
I got you covered too, as well.
I recently, in my fast and furious studies,
actually used what happens.
I was bragging, and I was like, "Yeah, I have the best fast and furious theme
movie-rewatch podcast ever, thinking no one else does."
And then someone's like, "Actually, I just heard some comedians from England
who just started a fast and furious podcast."
And I was like, "Oh, they better not."
But then I went, "Listen to it."
And it was really good.
So it's called "Me Fast, You, Furious."
And the hosts are two comedians, Paul McDaniel and Mary Joy.
And it's pretty good.
So like, you can catch it on the ground floor,
or they're going through the movies right now.
At this point, this episode of the airs
will probably be through most of the movies
unless they do the parters.
Okay.
But just really super cool guys.
I told them I'd give them a shout out on my podcast.
They're gonna give us a shout out on their podcast.
What's that?
Yeah, we're just living our lives a quarter mile a time,
all of us.
And so, you know, check them out.
And they're, and I'll have their handles on the episode notes.
If you want to, like, just click it or whatever.
But on Instagram, if you type, "Me Fast, You, Furious,"
"Pod."
How'd it be fun?
There's some, like, Instagram, other website.
If you type that, and it's other things.
Yeah, make sure you type that.
Yeah, and Instagram.
But it's upsetting.
Yeah.
But you know, it was a lot of fun.
I listened to their episode on Furious 7
because that's my favorite one.
What part of, are they English?
Like, yeah, they're English, so like London, maybe?
I don't know.
I don't know anything.
The more I try to answer that question, the more obvious it will be
that I don't know anything about geography.
They're from the part with land, you know, never barred.
So, here's the question I wanted to ask this.
So, as we said earlier in this episode, a CJ and Bernard have known each other since college.
Yeah.
Which was just like two or three years ago.
Very well.
We're all very young here.
So, and I just wanted to know if either of you had, for the other person, like a question or something,
some group that the title of this segment is like something I always wanted to know.
If there's like any kind of, we don't really look at just sit down and chat.
And here we are.
So, is there any random story, question, lingering, whatever you're wondering about?
Maybe something dumb they did in college, maybe some random, funny thing you've always been wondering about.
Maybe at one point, Bernard had a really ridiculous outfit.
And you're like, "What was it?"
Yeah.
Or maybe a one point CJ lost a limb.
And then, but now she has all of them.
And you're like, "What happened that happened?"
So, anything like that, so.
It's so hard because he's, you know, I hate when people in me and my guys talked about this.
I hate when people say like, "Man and women can't be friends."
Because there's always going to be something sexual or something like that.
I can't say that with this man because when I did try to highlight him, he totally dissed me.
So, wow.
No, no, but he's, that's the question.
Why did you chose like this?
Now, but he's honestly been one of my best friends since we met.
I guess the only question is, "How come you ain't tell me Miss Lamar was as crazy as she was before I got up there?"
You know what I'm saying?
And it's a school question.
And I got nothing to do with girls because who's Miss Lamar?
Was I a teacher?
She was our professor.
Yeah, that is your duty, hasn't?
Oh, well, see, I have a different relationship with Miss Lamar.
She was trying to highlight him.
That's a blur.
She was trying to get, she was just a minute, eight minutes, eight minutes, eight minutes.
She saved me.
Like, I was, I was in college, not learning anything.
I was real upset with my college experience.
I was like, "Who's anybody going to hire me?"
"What a good partner here?"
I was like, "I haven't learned anything."
And so, I took her acting class.
And, and I really did not, I grade in the class.
I just, I've not been put in major effort, like I should have.
And, she saw me like, in like one of the things I was one day.
And so, we were talking.
And she was like, "Yeah, we're doing the summer."
I'm like, "Nothing, just working."
And so, she was like, "Hey, we doing the play."
I wanted to come out with me and have a role with you.
So, then I got me into the theater.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I saw a working, various guy, damn, and then,
at that point, I just, they bumped into their world.
It was something I, I text to, and I was like, "Man, I see myself doing this."
I just, I fell in love with the process of just starting with workers on the paper
and then turning, bringing a world together.
And I was forced because, you know, we had a professional theater company in residence.
Yeah.
And the school, so, we got to learn as professionals, whatever.
So, yeah, so she was, uh...
How did they reveal that?
Yeah, so she, I mean, she was, I took some classes from her after that.
He's like, "Well, then after that, she tried to get with A."
[Laughter]
No, I see the average, she never tried to get with me, but she was,
but she, we always had good relationship, you know, we was,
we always had problems, AJ.
Maybe it was a year, maybe it wasn't her.
No, she just, I, at that time, didn't realize that excuses were tools that they had competent,
which they'll buy you missing nothing, and those specialized in excuses, so,
since they did anything else.
Oh, my lord, that was an hour.
Yeah, that's a lot of fool.
That's gonna be our t-shirt, too, after that.
[Laughter]
From time, you see the survey, and then on the back, excuses,
I was 17 when I got to college.
Yeah.
So, I was 17, so I really couldn't do a lot.
And so, by the time I got to Lamarck,
A, I didn't have a car, and B, I didn't realize that,
like when she was asking us to go downtown and study and do stuff,
I didn't know how to take the bus, and so, she was my first F.
Nope.
She was my first, yeah, I'm just gonna work with my first F,
and my mother came up, and I don't know why, but I'm like,
I'm not in high school, I want to keep up with that, and worked my, you know what?
No, what?
Why she's something, you know?
And so, that's when I started, that's when she--
Yeah, you see, I had started doing theater when you got there.
No.
You, I think you were, when you came, like, you were behind me.
Uh-huh.
Okay, yeah, so, I just started doing theater, too,
the summer after myself.
Oh, okay, and so, I can't end straight doing theater.
My first semester--
Yeah, yeah.
My first semester, I did, I got into show start,
because that's how I got my scholarship.
Miss, from Miss Dianna K. Pope.
And, um, that's how I got my--
So, I was, whereas you was on the Lamar,
I was heavily on the CWism album.
But, you know CWism is just post!
Oh, oh, oh, Ross.
Okay, I saw the picture of the boots,
but I didn't know what that meant.
I thought he was just sitting down to the, to the, to the, to the, to the, to the,
Okay, okay, that makes sense.
Okay, when I say "Gross," I started and like, he's a cute man, he's a man.
I would say this, I will say that when me and Renar became friends and I think we had
our first study session at your house, like his mom was just, I think that's a really
good reason we became friends because his mom was just like, "Baby!"
It was just, I don't know, yeah, it really is, we had to work on the stage and we just
had to worry him ever since. But yeah, I guess I want to know, so we did, we were in Dr. Jane's
place, not hold on, let me tell you what it is. I think it was a script writing, we had to
improv in front of the class, so we were in a car driving, and we were going interactive,
we would have done that.
Because I don't care for him, but he would.
And then at one point, like I realized, I'm like, "Oh, but she's following me, like everything
I do, she's right, she's right there with me, you know what I'm saying, she's not back
now, and then at one point, I like, I like the day it goes crazy and I just shoot myself,
and then shoot myself in the head and I just dial over in the day.
Get the same ladies and gentlemen.
Yeah, and the same.
So then, what does she do? She pulls a good kill herself.
So now we're both sitting there doing our favorite and the teacher is like, "Oh, right,
okay, okay, because the audience is doing it so well."
"Okay, because you're not supposed to say no, but I forgot we were in a script, right?"
"But you were in a script, like we were in a problem, is it?"
"Please, we'll see you're not, you're supposed to go along with me."
"Yes, yes, and, you can't be like..."
"Yes, and I'll kill myself."
"And I'll write, it's a boom, so that's the reason."
"Yeah, I was like, what can I do to top this?"
"Oh, fast and curious style."
"I'm not gonna top all the crazy stuff we've done in the scene."
"Well, the professor that he's talking about, honestly, made me, whereas you went through something in college, I tried to drop out because of Dr. Jackson."
"I tried to drop out because of him. He gave me hell."
"He gave me hell."
"He was back, I don't know, he was one of those guys, he loved you, or he ate you."
"But you know what was my guy?"
"He do it."
"What, he do it in school?"
"He do it, he do it with my guy, he do it, he loved him, he do it."
"He from Nigeria, he was a hard-talking average."
"He was a hard-talking average."
"Today, we were talking about the modnity of Belmont."
"And he even had soft-talking average, he's not like, "Come in, there's another guy, Dr. Oyunjaki."
"He will come into the class, he'll be like, hey good morning, good morning, peace come on in."
"If anyone has seen CJ, tell them to come back and follow me."
"Thank you so much."
"I love that, but not that guy."
"He was the first man ever, that's how I didn't realize I was actually attractive until Dr. Oyunjaki was like, "Huh."
"He even can believe the hope you can do it, they got weird."
"The girl that got to when she got to college, I was like, who is it?"
"Whatever you always want to say on this story, anyway."
"We talked about every college one, was looking at the 17 year old baby guys."
"Just, there's no more attractive."
"I mean, would be 18."
"Okay, okay, okay, I'm not talking about you."
"But no, Dr. Yadoye, the very first time I met him, he was like, what is your name?"
"I was like, Chandra, you look like the model Oluchin."
"I was like, who? Oluchin."
"I was like, okay, what are you from? I'm Chandra, you go down and buy me Belmont."
"I'm a buy-e-e-want."
"You have a bunch of coach, and he was talking about, this is a shop, it's in the rich head, new go."
"Oh, yeah, where have you been?"
"You buy me, you buy me, then I give you good grade."
"I was like, I can't, I can't, I can't, okay."
"Did you get the man's belt?"
"No, but I got the belt."
"Okay, let's get in."
"We'll be done with."
"You want me to get in a meeting?"
"I'm like, unrealistic things, professors and masters."
"I feel like a belt is like, I have never got this before."
"No, you know, you see, head you got the belt, you wouldn't get the belt."
"Yeah, I like this belt."
"Hey, I fulfill my end of the world, I just do my plan."
You know what I'm so interested in about, and,
listen to you guys talk about either the same professors or different professors,
and so interested in all of us have been in education where we can talk about them.
You know, you have your style of doing things,
and it's pretty, it's pretty, it should be,
the same kind of with all the different students that you have.
But some really gravitate towards it and grow from it,
and some just, you know, they're like,
"Wow, what's this person's deal?"
Like, it's just so interesting how you can do the same thing,
or be the same person, and it impacts people in different ways.
"Oh, yeah."
"That's why they say the cheesy phrase is like,
"Oh, it takes a village."
Because, like, some people, it's going to, you know,
when I was a professor, one of the main things I think was like,
built a team because I knew not every kid was going to connect with me.
So, maybe they'd go connect with someone, and so that would be it.
I definitely think that's what Tennessee State does,
and is still doing, especially in our department.
I know when we were there, I really felt like I had a family,
especially in the communications department.
Before we close up Shop-Ear, first of all,
we're not, thank you so much for being on this podcast.
We'll see if you want to review another one of the movies
we got going on later.
Are we sure we're friends?
The guy that you were having?
Yeah, we get them up, yeah.
Yeah, it's the mission, but the half-am.
He seems nice.
Yeah, he seems like he's in a band that I like to micro.
No, he's really nice when I, he's really cool.
Yeah, I enjoy being around his friends.
Is there anything you'd like to plug while you're here?
Oh, man, we got, we're starting, we do have a residency,
like coming up as any starting five this day in June,
so we'll be there once a month after that.
Yeah.
Anybody, come check that out, hit me up.
I have a few free tickets, so anybody want free tickets?
Hit me, inbox me, I may have a few.
What are the main boxes you add?
Oh, yeah, you can go to, also, the media's Renard Comedy
or the NARD Comedy, Renard Hersh on Facebook.
And www.renardcomedy.com, so yeah, no love you,
we couldn't spell her, so I was like, I'll take a renard.
That's what that works.
Maybe even for everybody.
This is the man's family in the company.
Yeah, so yeah.
Full renard.
We follow D&D fitness and go by all their clothing,
and you'll look as good as CJ Mayby.
You'll definitely look better than me.
I'm happy with that word.
I know I've been diesel yeti,
I gotta hit this bell and have some.
Follow the D-Fest you, the Euphiris podcast,
and while you're doing the following,
let's add the Porta Mon-Pon-Guess also shout out to CJ
who's still looking here to eat twigs yet.
I know why this episode is airing, it'll be past 420,
but it's not there yet for us, so she's killing it.
And we're nearing what she'll be able to eat.
This is a 420 twist?
Yeah, you know I gave up...
Is it fused?
No, I'm just dig around a little bit.
No, I gave up.
I gave up refined sugars and bread.
Oh, okay, we're late.
And you know, late is 420.
Okay, so you just said it here to tell you everything?
Yeah, it's literally...
I feel like I've created a connection with that.
5/421 is just a screw.
I don't even know what you liked your taste.
Yeah, you liked the left one, I gave you the right one.
Which one?
I think it was very game evident.
I'm a boss, I've never just eaten one side.
Oh, okay, I'm good at you.
Are you a left or right twigs?
No, it's one of the twigs to be up to the deepwood.
Yeah, it has to be...
You have to know what side you eat first.
Okay, so I probably eat the left one first.
Okay, you know what I'm supposed to say.
Before we go, tell us what's going on next week, see ya.
We will be discussing new movie, a new movie, a new weird stupid bad movie.
And I'm getting into this, so I want you guys to get into it with me.
I want to start reviewing really bad movies.
Somethings first, but then we're going to do a very bad movie.
And I want you guys to stick around.
I know y'all like, are you serious?
But yes, I'm very serious about this.
And then we're going to get into our actual movie series.
So I'm really excited about that.
So make sure you follow us on all the way as we go.
Tick-tock, are we on X?
No, Twitter, don't.
I'm not.
I'm stopped doing X.
Good, good.
Yeah, no worries, I'm not.
I'm not sure you follow us on Instagram, on Facebook, on YouTube, on Tick-tock.
I am at your girl, your girl, CJ Walton.
Drew Davis comedy.
Make sure you're looking about your life a quarter mile.
Wow, now that me getting my 10 second car, you know what I'm saying?
You're right.
I'm not.
You're just 10 second car.
(upbeat music)
